I’ll be honest, Trevor and I aren’t usually big valentines day celebrators, We did the whole romantic night out thing when we were dating but I don’t actually remember what we did last year, or if we even did anything. We spend a lot of time together with Trevor’s awesome work schedule always giving him 3 day “weekends”, so we tend to have more date nights in than anything else. But we both love receiving little thoughtful gifts (who doesn’t?) so I wanted to share with you what I got Trevor this year for Valentines Day! I chose to get him this Cool Watch from JORD wood watch!
JORD has so many options in Mens and Womens wood watches and it was so hard to choose from all of their amazing designs but I chose the Walnut and Jet Black design for him.
This unique watch was such a fun gift to give Trevor and he seriously LOVES it! I decided to give it to him a little early so he could enjoy it also, once he knew what he was getting he couldn’t wait! haha.
It comes in this GORGEOUS wooden box full of things to help take care of and maintain the uniqueness of this wood watch
I love the idea that everytime Trevor looks down to check the time that he can think of me and feel loved at the same time because of this gift!
I also wanted to share with you that JORD is giving away $100 to their online shop! Just follow this link: Wood Watch $100 Giveaway
PLUS, You will receive $25 off code just by entering! The contest will close 2/26 at 11:59pm. Both the $100 and the $25 codes will expire on 4/30/2017
Katelyn is one of the most gentle souls I have ever met! She carries herself with such grace and is just a pure beauty. Jeremiah is soft spoken and loving. Together they are such a sincere couple! I loved getting to photograph them in Jeremiah’s element!
We had to wait out the rain but it caused for some really epic skies and I absolutely loved how their session turned out!
In April I had the honor of traveling to Arizona to photograph my dear friend Christina’s Wedding. Christina and her sister, Bre grew up in the youth group that I have been a leader at for 8 years. I got to know them well through camps and mission trips and they both became such good friends.
Ryan and Christina are both a big part of Young Life. They met through get togethers with fellow young lifers and quickly realized how good they could be together.
Christina had 14 bridesmaids and Ryan had 12 groomsmen, This shows you what an amazing community they have around them! Their wedding was so full of joy and unity and was a dream to capture.
Here are some of my favorites from their day!

I have known Bre since she was in 6th grade. Her and her (basically twin) sister Christina started attending our youth group and I was one of their leaders. I grew to love them both so much and as they grew they became my dear friends. One thing I love about Bre is that she is so invested into her friendships! She always knows the right questions to ask to make you think and grow. Bre was a bridesmaid in my wedding and someone that I am so honored to know! I love that I get to capture both Bre and Christina’s Wedding days because they are both so special to me!
Billy and Bre met at Moody in Chicago. They both love the world, people and traveling. I can’t wait to see where God takes them! Both Billy and Bre are such amazingly loving and lighthearted people. They are constantly laughing together and their joy is contagious! I am so excited to get to photograph their wedding in Flagstaff Arizona this August.
These two have have such a life giving relationship and you can see it in every image!
Here is a peek into their engagement session:
